Adolescence is one of the most uncertain
and vulnerable periods of life.
It is a time of exploration and transition, where learning skills to cope with life changes and navigate relationships is essential. Forming one’s identity is no easy or comfortable task, and so we are especially passionate about helping teens find their voices.
We understand that the adolescent phase of life often comes with unique challenges for parents too. As in all our work, we value family and community connection; therefore, we strive to routinely include parents and families in adolescent & teen therapy. That being said, adolescence is a period where autonomy and independence are key tasks, and so it is essential that we first establish a strong working relationship and rapport with our teen clients so that they can feel a sense of ownership and control over their therapeutic process.
